The Queen's Quill

The Queen's Quill, 03.01.15.: More "snow", more food truck fun, oh, and we've turned 1!!!

The Great Blizzard of 2015 kind of threw a kink into some of the scheduled fun we had planned for the past week, but we still managed to milk some quality cheesiness out of what was yet another icky 7 days on the weather scene.

'Twas fun while it lasted.

First off…WOWZA.  Being a native Carolinian, I know all about snagging the milk and bread before a snowstorm, but y’all have obviously added the Queen to your list of staples.  We we worked over time to fill the week's region-spanning orders, and we couldn’t have been happier about it!  Our Retail Locations should all be fully-stocked and ready to rock!  Y’all are the best.

On the “new pals” scene, we were lucky enough to provide some of our “Her Royal Hotness” jalapeño blend to the fellas at New Wrap Order this week.  NWO is a brand new food truck (and fellow Carolina Commercial Kitchen client) that’s going live this Spring, and they were doing a little test run at a Charlotte Rugby Club event.  Look for big things out of Kevin and Matt soon; I’ll be sure to keep y’all posted!

OHOHOH!!!  Our hard copies of the Boston Globe’s profile on the Queen came in Wednesday!!!  Same stuff as the online article, but I can, ya know…touch this version :)

Who says print is a dead medium?!?

We sampled at Earl’s Grocery (Elizabeth) and What’s Your Beef (Ballantyne) Saturday, and we left both spots good and loaded up.  We’ll be at The Butchers Market (Rea Road) and Carolina Fish Market (Ballantyne) next Saturday, so be sure to swing by and say hey if you’re in the ‘hood!

Pretty sure Earl's was built specifically with the intent of being the world's best Instagram spot.

And last, but most assuredly not least: WE TURNED ONE TODAY!!!  That’s right, as of March 1, we’ve officially celebrated a birthday.  The past year has been something straight out of a sappy “rags to riches” story; the kind of thing I wouldn’t believe if I weren’t right in the middle of it.  Simply put, we’re honored and humbled at the support y’all have shown us this first year.  I could’ve never imagined the kind of love we’ve experienced; it truly chokes me up every time I think about it.  From Myers, my folks, and myself: thank you.  Now buckle in: 2015’s gonna be another wild ride!!!
