After a decade or so of perfecting his recipe, Queen Charlotte's Pimento Cheese Royale™ was founded by Native Charlottean and artist/musician/elementary art teacher John Morgan in early 2014. It had always been something of a pipe dream of Morgan's to do something with his locally-famous pimento cheese, and once he found the time (he was heavily involved with the successful efforts to reclaim the Charlotte Hornets), and the resources (he started the company using money he earned after an appearance on Jeopardy!), it became apparent that the planets had aligned. Starting in March of 2014, Morgan and his girlfriend went to work.
Each batch of Queen Charlotte's Pimento Cheese Royale is handcrafted at the Carolina Commercial Kitchen, Charlotte, NC. After starting with a cream cheese base (and less mayonnaise than the average pimento cheese), we grate, blend, and package each and every tub by hand. In Her Majesty's Royal Opinion, this most delectable of concoctions is the finest pimento cheese man has ever conjured. As we grow, more and more folk seem to be sharing this opinion (see where you can make your purchases here; we're adding locations weekly, and we ship!).
In addition to the pride we take in our product, we here at Queen Charlotte's see our brand as the perfect opportunity to celebrate the community that we call home. A careful investigation of any of our packaging or merchandise reveals a entire hidden world of Charlotte-themed treasures. From our "Hornet's Nest"-centered crest to the Queen herself, when it comes to Charlotte, we're as local as local gets (and then some).
All of our products are gluten-free, and feature no added preservatives.

QUEEN CHARLOTTE'S PIMENTO CHEESE ROYALE™ (Original Pimento Cheese)
The cheese that started it all. Our proprietary base of cream cheese, Duke's Mayonnaise (Greenville, SC), and secret spices, combined with more sharp cheddar, white cheddar, and pepper jack cheese than we know what to do with.
HER ROYAL HOTNESS™ (Jalapeño Pimento Cheese)
Everything you love about the Pimento Cheese Royale™, but with the heat cranked up to "11". (Oh, and there are no "dehydrated" peppers or 'off-brand' hot sauce here; we ALWAYS use genuine, Carolinas-mainstays Texas Pete Hot Sauce (Winston-Salem, NC) and Mt. Olive Diced Jalapeños (Mt. Olive, NC)).
BLACK AND BLEU BLOOD™ (Cracked Black Pepper and Blue Cheese Pimento Cheese)
A sinfully savory selection. Perfect as a snack dip, and incalculably amazing as a topping for burgers, steaks, etc. While similar in construction to our other varieties, there's really nothing like the B&BB; taste it, and you'll understand.
BACONHAM PALACE™ (Smoked Cheddar and Bacon Pimento Cheese)
The Queen soars to new heights in decadence in this recipe borrowed from Royale Family frenemy Camilla Porker Bowles. Combining the savory undertones of a premium smoked cheddar with the bacontastic baconiness of a whole heapin' mess of real chunks of bacon, Baconham Palace, like its namesake, makes everything better.
